About This Release

This release addresses a security vulnerability in InBatch 9.0 SP1 as reported in “Stack Based buffer overflow in the “Label” method, in the InBatch BatchField ActiveX Control (CR LFSEC00000054 )”.

These release notes supplement the version 9.0 SP1 release of the InBatch software and its associated product release notes. It is recommended that you review all release notes before you begin.

This update contains software that replaces components of the existing InBatch software.

The contents of the update do not contain any configuration databases. However, it is strongly recommended that you always back up your existing configuration databases before installing any software.

Upgrading from a Previous Version

InBatch 9.0 SP1 Security Update 00110754 must be installed on top of the following products:

  • InBatch 9.0 SP1

This update is for Batch Server and Runtime Clients. It affects any customer applications that use the InBatch GUI Controls. Before installing this update, exit any applications using these controls.

  1. On the Batch Server and Runtime Client nodes, run the InBatch90SP1Update_00110754.exe included in this update release.
  2. Click on the Unzip button. The update utility will be extracted and automatically run.
